Selecting Flowers for your star sign

posted in: Flower Facts | 0

Flowers, like us humans, come in a wide variety and endure phases and hardships that occur naturally over a life cycle. It is only appropriate that each zodiac sign has at least one flower to represent it. What is your flower sign?

Aquarius (January 21 – February 19) Orchid
Despite the Aquarian’s insightful and independent nature they also possess truly romantic tendencies. They are dedicated and intimate so the subtle romance of orchids fits the faithfulness of an Aquarius.

Pisces (February 20 – March 20) Water Lily
Those born under the water sign of Pisces are imaginative, gentle, reactive and understanding. This sign leads with the heart rather than the head. Pisces tend to think with their hearts instead of their heads; they rely on instinct and emotion rather than logic. Water lilies and Peruvian lilies, as well as other plants that are not particularly showy, appeal to the quiet nature of the Pisces.

Aries (March 21 – April 20) Tulips
The charming and confident Aries is often associated with flowers that are equally enthusiastic and passionate. Those born under the Aries sign are natural leaders and trend-setters. Flowers that would suit an Aries would include bright daises, tulips and Orange roses. The key is to select bold flowers that are full of character.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21) Stargazer Lilies
The Taurus sign has a reputation of representing stubbornness, but there is most definitely a sensuous and sensitive side to this earth sign. Associated flowers are fierce and quietly sensuous so scented flowers like roses and Stargazer Lilies are perfect and sweet-smelling choices to send to a Taurus.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21) Lavender
Geminis are notorious for their double-sided personality; after all, their birth signs are the twins. The many different colors of roses reflect the complexity of a Gemini’s personality. When sending flowers to a Gemini you should consider roses. They represent deep passion and playful affection so appeal to their multi-faceted personalities. Fragrant lavender plants are another choice for Gemini.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22) Delphinium
Cancers are sometimes considered the most emotional and sensitive sign of the zodiac. Choose a flower arrangement filled with white flowers which will mirror their soft side. White roses or lilies make the perfect choice.

Leo (July 23 – August 22) Sunflower
Leo is the boldest and most extroverted sign of the Zodiac. They love to be the center of attention and will go to great lengths to occupy the spotlight! The sunflower is characterized by openness, brightness, and strength, is just the right flower for a confident Leo.

Virgo (August 23 – September 23) Aster
The Virgo pays close attention to detail and is reserved. They tend to be wise and clever underneath that perfectionist exterior. Pay attention to their reflective side and calm their sometimes obsessive nature with blue flowers. Flower arrangements with blue hydrangeas are an inspired choice for the Virgo.

Libra (September 24 – October 23) Hydrangea
A Libra is known for being harmonious and uncommonly gentle. The blend of sturdy stems and the large pom-pom shaped blooms of hydrangea perfectly represent the harmony displayed by Libras. The Libra zodiac sign is the scale, which symbolizes balance and harmony. Justice, Truth and beauty are all important characteristics of a Libra. Send beautiful tulips or daisies to a Libra in your life.

Scorpio (October 24 – November 22) Peony
Scorpios are assertive and emotionally volatile, which breeds a recipe for highly successful and determined individuals. They are fiercely committed when in love, almost to the point of possessiveness. Creative, strong-willed and intelligent, they stop at nothing when determined. Send deep red flowers to Scorpios to appeal to their passion. Gerberas and roses are good choices.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21) Narcissus
A Sagittarius embodies the unity between keen intellect and physical energy. Those born under this sign have a strong energy about them and always seek out adventure and exploration. Carnations are associated with the endurance of the Sagittarius. Narcissus is linked to the Sagittarius’s thirst for knowledge and the desire to spread that knowledge.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20) Carnation
Practical and willful Capricorns are known to be stable and disciplined. They are stable and practical individuals who enjoy encountering beauty in everyday life. Both carnations and African violets satisfy the stable and steady nature of Capricorn’s. Carnations are adept at putting things in order, and organizing so they make a good fit for Capricorn’s.
